Matthew Garner
Matthew Garner is originally from Houston, Texas, but now calls Oklahoma his home. He attended the University of Texas where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After leaving Texas, he attended Wichita State University, where he taught College English 101 and 102 and received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, publishing his thesis Provenance. From there, he attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was awarded the honor of membership in the Order of the Barristers - an honor society for students who demonstrate exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. He was also a Top Twenty Speaker in the Whitten Burrage Moot Court Competition and received an Academic Achievement Award in Administrative Law.

After gaining experience at the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office, Matthew joined Aston, Mathis & Campbell. He is admitted to practice in all state district courts within Oklahoma, as well as both the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and the Cherokee Nation Tribal Courts. When Matthew is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and going to the movies.
